interests

Oh boy do I have alot, what you see here isn’t everything but mostly what I can remember

Also huge disclaimer: I’m critical of my interests, I don’t condone the actions of any controversial creators, and please don’t associate me with any bad or toxic fandom behavior, in fact I’m not really involved in the fandom side of most of my interests with the exception of higher interests and even then I’m mostly reserved and keep to myself with the exceptional time of posting fanart or videos (that doesn’t mean I’m not afraid of talking about my interests with other fans though, especially when it comes to my nicher ones)

Everhood + Everhood 2

(special interest)

Became a fan on: 2020

(Back when only the demo was out)

My thoughts: I cannot express how much I fucking love Everhood, from the moment I saw that demo I was hyped for what was to come, and I can say I was satisfied. And while this may sound silly but I feel like in a way Everhood saved me (from what exactly thats a bit personal). Overall the Everhood series of games are very near and dear to my heart and are some of the only few things keeping me sane on this bitch of an earth. I'm also pretty hyped for EH hunters :3 (also fun fact, I've been using the soundtrack for both games throughout my website)

Noisrevverse

(special interest)

Became a fan on: 2022

(Was introduced through INMIMB)

My thoughts: Also often referred to as Arcadekittens games by fans, heres another thing I can't express how much I fucking love and has been one of the few things keeping me together. Her work for me is not only something of a comfort to me (and has probably made me feel better about myself being neurodivergent and queer) but her work has been a big inspiration for me, my writing, and my art. Just like with Everhood I don't think I would be the same person if I didn't find out about her work. Btw if you're wondering what my favorite games are, it's Blackout Hospital (please check it out, esp if you're into rpg maker games) and Cemetery Mary

MY OWN OCS!!!!

(special interest)

Became a fan on: 2018

(I've been creating little guys for way long but I didn't really get into oc making until that point, also yes that is my art)

My thoughts: Yes I'm including my own characters in this, I like to pretend that I'm just some big fangirl for these guys, I am their number 1 fan and I want the world to know them. I love creating characters, I love creating stories, I love them, they mean so much to me. Also if you're wondering who's in the picture, that's my oc Clauws, he's my main oc who's totally not the favorite out of my children and gets spoiled the most totally not.

Pokemon

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2014

(Was introduced through X and Y)

My thoughts: I've been a big pokemon fan for a large chunk of my life and for many years it was one of my main fandoms and something I'm very fond of, I have alot of games in my collection including spinoffs (mostly ds/3ds stuff). I also have the controversial take that I don't think the newer game aren't as bad as people treat them and is the main reasons I'm more involved in the pmd + pokespe side of the fandom (some of the vocal mainline game fans scare me). For my fav games my list includes: most pmd games, pokemon ranger, Pokemon USUM, Pokemon XY, Pokemon OROS, Pokemon SWSH, Pokemon HGSS, and Pokemon BW. My fav pokemon is Vulpix.

The Mario RPGs

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2019

(SMRPG, Paper mario, Mario and Luigi, you get the drill)

My thoughts: While I am a general mario fan, I'm more casual when it comes to the mainline games and other spinoffs. I think it's because I love playing rpgs but I find myself to be very drawn towards the rpgs, getting my start with playing some the mario and luigi games on my 3ds and later learning about stuff like super mario rpg and the paper mario series, if it wasn't obvious my favorites out of the rpgs include super paper mario and super mario rpg: legend of the seven stars. Fun fact: when I was younger I had sever fancharacters for an joke paper mario story though they've for the most part been repurposed (that's probably going to be the last I bring up that story because wow there were so many issues and problems with it)

Omori

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2022

(I have many ocs based on this game)

My thoughts: I'm not going to lie, it took me a bit to warm up to this game, not because I think it's a bad game but for some reason around 2020-2023 I had a weird vendetta for any media that was popular (yes I was one of those people that hated something only because it's mainstream or popular, though I think it was because I was jealous the things I like weren't getting attention), though I think I decided to gave it a chance since it was around a time I was starting to get into rpg maker games more and glad I say I have. Omori has been another game that has influenced me, not only in character design but it has always been an inpiration for my artstyle regardless of how much it's changed overtime

Yume Nikki

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2019

(This includes fangames)

My thoughts: Yume Nikki has to be one of the first few rpg maker games I got into (the other being mermaid swamp), I ended up finding out about this game through some "creepy easter egg" video, being one of the more interesting games I found in there. I'm also a pretty big fan of the variety of fangames the Yume Nikki community has to offer, I'm usually not involved with fangame stuff for the most part but idk something about Yume Nikki fangames intrigue me, maybe it's because I like seeing how people take the premise of the game and put their own spin, their own worlds, their own characters, their own effects, ect. It's also one of the few pieces of media where I engage in theories with, I'm not really a big theory person but I think Yume Nikki lends intself into that

Inscryption

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2021

(Currently fixated on aswell)

My thoughts: So yeah you know how I said I had a vendetta in 2020-2023 because things that were popular/mainstream at the time (even though Inscryption isn't really popular anymore), yeah younger me was kind of a hypocrite. But anyways Inscryption is another game from 2021 to have a special place in my heart, though it wasn't until replaying it recently it went from a medi-high interest to a major interest of mine, you know I'm really into something if I decide to make a fancharacter for it. So yeah just another pique (is that the right usage for this term?) early 2020s indie game that I enjoy alot and is in my personal indie game hall of fame.

Hylics (1 + 2)

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2022

(Idk what to put here)

My thoughts: I ended up getting introduce to this series of games during my rpg maker fixation thanks to nitrorad (I think thats his username?), and I've been a pretty big fan of it since. I guess a bit of a fun fact about me, I used to kind of have a strange fear of claymation so any media featuring it, so the fact I went from being afraid of that kind of thing to being a fan of media using it is a turn alright (though my friend also went from being scared of clowns to liking them alot so). Anyways Hylics (both 1 and 2) are pretty cool games and are one of the many reasons why I consider video games an artform.

Undertale

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2019

(Was an hyperfixation of mine at some point)

My thoughts: Undertale was another piece of media I was hesitant to get into, I think it was because I was kind of sick of hearing about it, and it was like this for me until I got into Deltarune (yes I got into DR before UT) and eventually decided to give Undertale a chance. And yeah that 2019 (and some of 2020) it ended up becoming one of my hyperfixations, and while it isn't anymore I'm still a big undertale fan and the game still means alot to me.

Deltarune

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2019

(Been here since the beginning, kind of)

My thoughts: Yep I've been here since chapter 1, I ended up getting introduced through an SMG4 video of all things, along with the fact that I just found Ralsei a nice character (along with getting a bunch of reccomendations for deltarune as vines) and boom I was never the same again. I've been there to watch the games growth to what it is now, I'm really excited to see how the stories going to end considering the lead up with the chapters, though I do kind of miss the eras of chapter 1 and early chapter 2, though that's probably mostly just for nostalgia reasons.

ENA

(major interest)

Became a fan on: "2021" (officially in 2025)

(This also includes the game)

My thoughts: ENA was another thing I was kind of iffy on at first just like with Omori for similar reasons, though unlike Omori I did check out the series back when the hype around it started, and to me it was like "Well I like it, but not enough for me to consider it an interest". So yeah I kind of slept on this shit for so long until ENA dream bbq came out, decided to give it a chance, loved it, rewatched the series, and loved it, god I can't describe how much I love ENA, the series, the game, and the character, she's so painfully relatable to me (at least series ENA), many parts of Temptation Stairway involving her were just paintful for me to watch

Oneshot

(major interest)

Became a fan on: 2022

(Comfort game)

My thoughts: Oneshot is a game that really means alot to me, helping me cope through a very difficult situation I was dealing with at the time, and similar to Everhood, saving me in a way. Besides from being something personal I think theres alot of love about Oneshot, I find it to have a pretty interesting premise and some unique gimmicks, the world is just so interesting to me, and I find all of the characters to be likable. I also find myself time to time listening to the soundtrack. Overall I think Oneshot is a pretty cool indie game that I think is worth checking out.

Viva Pinata

(high interest)

Became a fan on: 2015

(Also includes TIP)

My thoughts: Probably the game I played the most (besides minecraft) on my old ass xbox 360 that doesn't work anymore. The Viva Pinata games are something I hold very near and dear to my heart and I'm very nostalgic for, I remember spending hours just playing on my xbox trying to get every pinata, changing up my garden, and just watching my pinata's go on. I may have been to young to play the series when it was still active but it makes me sad to see it be so forgotten and neglected, I'd love to have another game like Viva Pinata. In fact can we have more games about finding and caring for and collecting little colorful creatures in some big open space you can customize, that would be lovely please.

Danganronpa

(high interest)

Became a fan on: 2020

(This includes all media)

My thoughts: Danganronpa is another interest of mine that was at one point an hyperfixation of mine, it's something that despite all of their issues I'm still kind of fond of these games in multiple ways and has been sort of design inspo for me. I'm also glad to see that it's also gotten a bit of a resurgance lately after everyone just kind of treating the games and fans (which I'm aware there are some issues with the fandom as someone who just kind of stays in the outskirts and to myself with the exception of friends) like public enemy number one, I hoped we move on from the days of everyone and their grandma having danganronpa on their 500 page dni lists with 5 billion other fandoms on there that they deem irrideemable pieces of shit.

Yo-Kai Watch

(high interest)

Became a fan on: 2015

(The games and series, haven't read the manga yet)

My thoughts: My introduction to the series was ended up being through the anime since the english dub would air on disney XD at the time for me and I ended up liking the show alot. I even watched the movie which I still find alot of fun to watch, I also eventually got into the games later on aswell, while I haven't really kept up with the spinoffs, the other movies, or even some of the mainline games past the 3rd, or even read the manga yet (Yes I know I sound like a fake fan right now) though Yo-Kai watch is something I'm still fond of and would like to resvisit more in depth someday, it's also probably one of the many things that got me into folklore and mythology more (in general, not just japanese folklore in mythology)

Minecraft Story Mode

(high interest)

Became a fan on: 2018

(Includes season 2)

My thoughts: I was knee deep into MCSM when I first got into it. I've always wanted to play the game since I was a big minecraft-head, though it took a few years until I have. For something thats been very special to me it makes me feel heartbroken to know that this game is basically abandonware now with no official and legal way (well kind of I guess) to play it, I mean not an issue for me (insert that one you are a pirate song) but it might be for others. It does make me happy that there seems to be a bit of a resurgance and seeing people talk about the series in a more positive light makes me happy, in a way I feel like with the current status of MCSM younger me would be both devistated, but happy (also at one point I had a mary sue fancharacter but that's for another time).

Ib

(high interest)

Became a fan on: 2019

(Idk what to put here)

My thoughts: When it comes to all of the old rpg maker horror games out there Ib out there has to be one of my all time favorites, that isn't to say I don't like alot of the other old ones, but something about Ib compared to alot of the other games I was checking out at the time has managed to stick in my head quite alot (again not saying that other old rpg horror games are shit and theres plenty of memorable ones). Not only do I think it's a great rpg maker game but a good horror game. If you're ever looking for rpg maker games and indie horror games to play, this is a must add in my opinion.

Uncle Samsonite

(high interest)

Became a fan on: 2020

(Yeah I unironically like this)

My thoughts: My introduction to this strange webseries was through that one animation most of you are probably familiar with if you recognize this guy, seeing it at the time kind of freaked me out since this time of 3d animation was another thing I was kind of afraid of (weird uncanny cg models freaked tf out of me), though I got curious and next thing you know I'm unironically liking this shit, I'd admit and say that the humor is dated in many aspects (even though this is my type of humor because I live under a rock) but I find it a pretty interesting and impressive web series, I plan on rewatching it sometime soon.

The other stuff since I'm to lazy to give them their own section
